Sept 19/12
‘Twas a foggy morning in olde London Towne – also in Port Townsend. Couldn’t see much beyond the perimeter of the campground. Had a leisurely morning reading and visiting with the Smith’s, before sitting down to lunch and another feed of crab – just as good as the night before. All gone now. By the time we finished lunch, most of the fog had burned off. Pat and I left the guys to get up to their own mischief, and headed back to the downtown area to check out the other shops we didn’t get to yesterday. Lots of potential to lighten the wallet. Impulses were kept in check, however, with only one very small purchase. Back to base camp for some more reading/resting, then it was our turn to host a tasty steak dinner with sautéed mushrooms, fresh corn and roasted potatoes. Another relaxing evening of swapping stories and planning our next move. Off to Sequim tomorrow – that’s pronounced skwim, not seekwim – about 15 miles west as the crow flies, but about 35 miles by road.

Speaking of crows, there seems to be a crow family hanging around the campground. We spotted them trying to get water from the taps at the campsites.
