It's done. The journey is over. Fighting the wind from Prosser to pretty much the start of the Snoqualmie Pass. Light rain through the Pass, snow down to the roadside. Poured rain through the Seattle area, but eventually let up.
Stop at Costco in Burlington for cheese and chicken, then on to the border. Another easy crossing, although there were FIVE cars ahead of us in line in the Nexus lane - what gives? It was sunny in Abbotsford, where we crossed, but when I looked up the valley, I could see black, heavy clouds in the Chilliwack area. Fortunately, by the time we reached there, the clouds had lifted and sun was peaking through.
An uneventful drive today, until about two blocks from home. A youngster on a bike, riding along the side of the road, suddenly swung into a crosswalk without warning and Robin had to slam on the brakes. Things could be heard crashing and banging about in cupboards. When we got the rig parked, and were able to check, some stuff was scattered about and piled together, but nothing was broken. Thanks Ken & Faye for the use of your driveway so we can unload and clean up before returning the rig to the storage site. See you soon.
So I'm signing off for now, until the next adventure takes us on the road again - maybe a very special wedding in July?. Thank you, everyone for your support. For our dear friends that we hang with in Mesa, thanks for another great season and we look forward to a repeat next winter. And for family and friends nearby, it's good to be home and we can't wait to see you all.
Until next time, dear readers.
