Well, after a 6 hour drive along the I-10 (aka the San Andreas Fault) here we are in Buckeye, Arizona. Must say it doesn't look a whole lot different than Desert Hot Springs, other than maybe a few more cacti along the roadsides.
We can now return to Canada anytime we chose, as we have now seen a ROADRUNNER. Robin said that we couldn't return home until he had seen a roadrunner (didn't say anything about Wile E. Coyote), although now that he has seen one he seems determined to get a picture of one. So we may never find our way back to Canadian soil.
Not much to report about the drive. Took a bunch of pictures, but haven't had a chance to look through them to see if there is anything interesting (other than future painting projects). We arrived around dinner time and were invited to share victuals at the McLaughlin's trailer. Have stumbled our way back to our rig, and I don't have the smarts and/or the patience to review and upload pictures. I may have to add to this page later on, or tack them onto another day.
Tomorrow, the plan is to head up the Apache Trail. It is a full day's trip and I gather the road can be a bit "hairy" in some parts, but the scenery is supposed to be amazing. As long as we're here, we might as well check it out.
So, until tomorrow my dear followers, sweet dreams.
