Today our journey ended. Another rainy day. On the road shortly after 9:30. Stopped in Bellingham to pick up our obligatory bottle of duty-free booze and arrived at the border around noon. A bit of a line up at the border, and we managed to get ourselves into the slowest line. Noticed three or four vehicles ahead in our line being sent over for further "interrogation" and figured we'd be following them, having been gone for over 2 months. But after a few questions, showing our receipt for the booze we had just purchased (and the actual booze) the young lady sent us on our way.
We arrived home around 1pm, unloaded and dropped everything all over the house and headed off with the trailer again to dump the tanks and return the rig to storage. We will bring it back over in a few days to give it a good cleaning and make some minor repairs to get it ready to sell (so we can buy a motorhome).
So after 10,000 kms (give or take a few), this journey comes to an end. And, accordingly, so does this blog. I will do one final wrap up and map (soon, but definitely not tonight), and then we'll just have to wait and see when the next adventure begins and where it takes us. For now, it's time for bed. Tomorrow we deal with the aftermath of unloading the trailer.
