Another chilly morning with a good layer of frost on the vehicles. The morning walkers headed out about 9:30, after the sun had a chance to take the chill out of the air. Robin returned alone and told me John and Donna were still hanging around in the desert, and showed me this picture. Haha!! It’s a gag that someone has put out there. While they were all gone, I took my laptop over to the pool hall where the DSL hookups are, and caught up on blog postings and some other stuff.
We all piled into our car and headed out to get tickets to the rodeo for later this month, and then went in search of two of our favourite places to shop – Trader Joe’s and Total Wines. Once done there, we headed back toward home, and had a late lunch/early dinner at Tiny’s, just down the highway from the RV park. Looks like a small dive from the outside, but it’s a long building and, while a bit rough on the inside, their food is fantastic and very reasonably priced, and the staff is great.

Once back at site, we enjoyed beverages in what was left of the afternoon sun, but boy did it get chilly as the sun started to set. Put on some warmer clothes and jackets and grabbed the cameras and headed out into the desert (away from the RV’s) to get some more sunset pictures. Mother Nature does not disappoint with her nightly sky paintings.
Shortly after full darkness we headed over to the rec hall to take in the evening’s entertainment – Peggy Malone, a Western Opry style singer. Weren’t too sure about this one, but figured we should at least check her out. Robin left at intermission, but the rest of us stayed. The second part of the show was better than the first, but she had lots of personality and was fun. No charge, but a small donation was made when they passed the hat.
Until next time dear followers, remember, most of the stuff people worry about never happens.
