Today I made another visit, and my last for this trip, to the massage therapist. He gave me a real work-over, and I'm feeling it tonight. But it felt so good at the time.
Later in the afternoon we picked up Ken & Faye and headed into Phoenix to check out the Phoenix Park 'N Swap. Now I can say "been there, done that, won't bother doing it again". It really was a swap meet, with everything from TV's and appliances to kids' clothing and even a small bucket full of rusty nails.
After wandering around at the swap meet, we decided dinner was in order, and NOT from the food booths there. We thought we would share Culinary Dropout with Ken & Faye, but there was a minimum 45 minute wait to get seated. Thanks, but no thanks. Found a Ruby Tuesday's not too far away from Culinary Dropout and had great meals (and I have lunch for tomorrow).
After we got back to the RV, the wind suddenly kicked up. Robin had already removed the sun screen earlier today, in anticipation of our departure, plus he plans to fix the slightly bent arm on the awning tomorrow (he was waiting for cooler temps, which are forecast for tomorrow). But, the problem was getting the tie-downs off the awning and getting it rolled in without the wind ripping it off the motorhome. To add to the problem, the motor on the awning kept stalling out as it was rolling in, but eventually we got it in without any damage. They are calling for a thunderstorm later tonight, with a bit of rain. Today's high only reached 27, so it was much more bearable.
Early night tonight, for sure. After the massage therapist beating me up this morning, and then walking around the swap meet this afternoon, I'm beat. But it's a good tired.
Until next time, dear readers.
