The wind had picked up again this morning, and when we started up the motorhome, the "check engine" light was on. Not flashing, just on. Robin plugged in the app he has for checking engine problems, and it wasn't anything serious, so he reset the system, the light went away, and off we went. A lot of rocking and swaying for the first half of the day, but eventually the wind went away. We started listening to another James Patterson novel.
Sunny day, so aside from wind it was a good day for driving. Got our first glimpse of Mt Shasta about 15 miles south of Redding. Beautiful purple bushes along the highway north of Redding.
Somewhere in the northern most reaches of California, I nodded off for a while, so missed some of the story we were listening to. When I awoke, we were in Oregon. Daffodils were waving at us from the grass median.

Our target destination was Seven Feathers RV Resort. We arrived around 3:30, but they only had about 6 spots left, all back in (which would mean unhooking the car). He did say we could go and set up in the RV section of the casino parking lot (no charge, but no hookups). So, off we went. Dinner at the buffet, and a bit of time on the slots (left only 19¢ behind) and then we headed back to the RV to hunker down for the night.
Until next time, dear readers.
