Lazy morning, then we headed a few miles south to Rio Rico for some golf. Got paired up with a couple from Scotland (Ron and Alice) and had a lovely time. Our golfing skills were somewhat lacking, but we got enough good shots to not be totally discouraged. Only played 9 holes, then sat on the patio with Ron and Alice and shared stories. Very nice couple with a flat in Glasgow, a vacation house in the south of Spain and they come to the Santa Cruz Valley periodically. Alice particularly likes to travel to the south of France. Guess that's not much different than us popping over to Alberta or Saskatchewan, or down to Oregon or Washington. It just sounds much more exotic.
Ron and Alice recommended a restaurant in a little place called Tumacacori, on our way back to Amado. It used to be called Two White Chickens, and is now called Wisdom's (but it still has two big white chickens out front). Fourth generation, family-run Mexican restaurant, and we were not disappointed. Busy place (two-for-one margarita night) and a bit of a wait for dinner, but not too long. Will return again for sure. It was almost dark by the time we left and, having left base not anticipating a stop for dinner, we didn't have jackets with us, so it was a bit chilly. I think Robin actually turned on the car heater.
Until next time dear followers, remember that artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity.
