Today was field trip day. Packed up a tail gate lunch and headed off with John & Donna to the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum. We went here last year and only saw part of it, because we had arrived later in the day. We arrived, this time, within one hour of opening, and spent about 6 hours wandering through the complex. Checked out a couple of exhibits then made our way to the raptor show. Quite exciting, having these birds fly right over our heads (causing everyone to duck). A very enjoyable day. Back in time for happy hour with Donna & John, and Peter & Chris joined us. Donna had put chili in the slow cooker before we headed out in the morning, I made some beer bread (thanks Cheryl) and coleslaw, and the six of us had a hearty feast and lots of liquids. A fun day, but I was worn out by 9pm.
Some real wild creatures we found at the museum
