First thing I want to do is add a couple of videos and pictures that I missed on some previous days. The pictures are of an Albertson Squirrel we spotted in a museum parking lot in Flagstaff. Then, on the train, we have a little guy about 3 "playing" the fiddle with some help from the entertainer. Finally, we have a circular shot of the mountains at the Big Bend view point along the Zion Park Scenic Drive.

Driving day, today. Our original destination was an RV park on the north side of Salt Lake City. Unfortunately, we ran into rain and snow, which slowed our progress a bit and made for a more stressful drive for Robin. By the time we reached Provo (about 50 miles south of SLC), he decided he'd had enough, plus we would be trying to get through SLC during rush hour, so we ended the day in Provo. Thankfully, further rain and hail held off until we got set up.
The last of the red and mesa-type mountains. Once we hit I15, we were back into mountains and landscape similar to home. Images are sometimes hazy because they've been shot through the windshield.

Thursday - March 27
Short hop up the road to North Salt Lake City. Got all set up and discovered we kept losing our power. Plugged into the unused 50 amp outlet at the site beside us, and no problems. Staff came around and checked the power post and sure enough, it's not working properly. So pull in the slides and haul everything over two sites and set up again. By now it's well past lunch time, and the fridge is pretty much empty. So found a really good pizza place not too far away, got our pizza fix and went and bought groceries.
Had planned to just stay in tonight, but Robin was looking up attraction stuff and discovered that the Mormon Tabernacle Choir opens up its Thursday night practices to the public. So off we went, and so glad we did. It truly is amazing. The tabernacle is built so that a pin dropped at the pulpit at one end, can be heard throughout the building. Although I couldn't understand a word that was being sung (so many voices), the sound was captivating and stirring. When we left the Tabernacle, we stopped in at the North Visitor Centre in Temple Square. Beautiful building with beautiful paintings and statues. We will be back to check out the rest of the grounds and buildings in daylight.
This is a practice, so at the beginning, and throughout, you'll often hear the conductor calling out instructions.
Returned to the park in full-on rain. Bit of a white knuckle ride, as Nancy the Nagivator was acting strange and didn't seem to know where we were or where we should be going, even though the map seemed to be right. We figured it out and made it back safe and sound.
