It's been a relatively quiet week. Belly dancing and cribbage on Monday, aquafit on Tuesday. We were back at Gilbertson's on Wednesday afternoon to finally meet their newest grandson, Max. Lovely visit with their two sons, Ty and Kyle, and their significant others. Always nice to catch up with the kids. Awoke to a sore throat on Wednesday, and while things didn't get worse during the day, it was still sore by evening. So downed some Nyquil and slept in until 8:30 on Thursday (even then I had to force myself out of bed). Throat was still a bit sore, but not feeling bad enough to stay away from the pool and aquafit. We were invited to Norm & Pam's new location (a park in Cathedral City) for happy hour, and Pam put out a lovely spread of appies. Thanks, guys. No need for dinner when we returned to our own rig.
Friday dawned sunny and warm. Took a walk around the park in the morning. The benefits were kind of negated by the doughnuts we got when we stopped to check out the RV being displayed down near the entrance by a local RV dealership. After lunch we headed in to Palm Desert so I could get a haircut, then Robin just had to get to Harbor Freight in Indio (it's kind of like Princess Auto) for their big parking lot sale. Picked up a few items - some things we needed and some things we probably didn't really need but the price was good. Then we headed off to the Jackalope Ranch to meet up with the Gilbertson clan and the Fischer's for the happy hour specials, and dinner. Took us a long time to finally get a table on the patio (waited out the time in the bar area), but had a lovely dinner in beautiful surroundings with great company. We were there for 3 hours, and little Max (8 months old) was so good, you'd hardly have known he was there. Back home by about 8pm, quick walk around the block to get in my steps for the day, then hunkered down in the RV for the night.
Saturday we never left the park. Lazy morning, then I was off to aquafit and we followed that up with hanging out at the pool while doing laundry. By the time the laundry was done, it was time for happy hour. Sat out with Richard and Pauline at their site, and tried some hunting with Richard's RC car, which we dubbed the "Roadrunner Hunter".

Apparently roadrunners like wieners, so we thought we'd see if we could entice one, but no one took the bait. Got a couple of dogs barking, but that was it.
Ended up barbecuing our steaks together, pooled our salads and side dishes and enjoyed a nice dinner together in their unit, after the sun went down. Enjoyable evening chatting, then back home and nighty, night.
