Sunday morning found us headed to a golf course in Cathedral City to join up with Norm and his brother-in-law Mike. The GPS was sending us on a somewhat circuitous route and as we made the last turn, we remembered right away that we had golfed at this course last year, and the GPS had done the same thing then - sent us to the back exit for the country club. A u-turn and a couple more right turns got us back to the main entrance and the club house. Good thing we were using power carts, because it was awfully darn hot by the time we finished (about 1pm). Can't imagine walking the course in that heat. We had a great time, and I think I held my own with the guys (both at golf and banter).
Bit of excitement on one hole. As we were approaching the green, I thought I heard someone calling out from one of the homes. I listened again, and was sure that a man was calling "Help". I asked the guys to listen and eventually they thought they heard it as well, so went rushing over to the house. They called in and asked if everything was all right. The fellow sounded rather surprised but said yes, everything was OK. The guys said they thought someone had been calling for help. The fellow laughed and said he had just been sneezing, very loudly. Better safe, than sorry.
Nice lunch and cool beverages in the clubhouse, before heading our separate ways. The heat really drained us, and we both conked out for a while once back at the RV. Quiet day after that, enjoying the cool evening breeze..
