Well, the sore throat finally eased off by Wednesday morning, only to be replaced by the mucus factory kicking into high gear. Actually slept almost sitting up for the next couple of nights.
Friday I finally ventured out of the motorhome. Figured folks might be getting suspicious and wondering what Robin had done with the body. Dragged the laundry over to the laundromat and just hung out there while it spun and tumbled. When it was done we joined a couple of neighbours on the pool patio, as happy hour was underway, and soon we had two tables full of friends. Ended up heading out for dinner with Phil & Paula. Enough excitement for one day.
Still dealing with congestion and the periodic coughing bout, so Saturday I figured a bit of retail therapy might lift my spirits. Off we went to Santan Village, a huge outdoor shopping mall. But after about 1/2 hour of walking around in one of the stores, I realized that I was going to have to ease back into this physical activity stuff. My legs were starting to feel like I'd been on a 2-hour hike. But I found a couple of bargains and it was good to be out in civilization again.

Sunday was another day closer to back to normal, but still got a ways to go. I went and picked up Faye (leaving Robin in Ken's capable hands - or maybe it's the other way around?) and we went off for some more retail therapy. A little here, a little there, and a bit more over there, then we met up with the guys back at our place for a burger supper. Tired now, but it was easier to get through the day, today.
I've really appreciated everyone's concern over the past week, and their frequently asking after my progress. Now we just have to hope that Robin doesn't get hit.
Until next time, dear readers
