Sunday, March 3, we went and did some shopping (Robin's suggestion - I KNOW!! I was shocked, too) then we stopped for pedicures - yes both of us, again Robin's suggestion. I think I've got him hooked, although he'll probably go once to my twice, because he opts for clear polish. ;)
Monday was a quiet day around the site. Met some folks from Chilliwack who stopped to chat when they saw our sign on the motorhome. He actually worked with our former neighbour (and still good friend), so we'll probably all get together back home. Met Jack & Shelley for dinner at Flaming Kebob - another great meal. Nice to catch up with them and hopefully we will have a chance to get together again before we both head north.
Tuesday, March 5, I took off on my own to do a bit of window shopping. Found a couple of things to bring home. Finally starting to warm up and feel like March usually feels.
Wednesday, after I helped Robin do some flushing of the hershey tank, he took off for a hike. The cactus are starting to bloom, which bodes well for a visit we have planned for the end of the month to the Botanical Garden.

I caught up on some "administrative work" and made some muffins. We joined Ken & Faye and Perry & Bev for an early dinner at Red, White & Brew. Even at 4:30 the place was busy and we were lucky to get a seat as quickly as we did. Great company, yummy food and lots of leftovers (at least for me). Ken & Faye stayed for a bevy when they dropped us off. Still early when they left, so we wandered over to the pool patio because there was a band playing from 7-9. Lots of folks on the dance floor, but we didn't see anyone we knew. Had one dance then back to the site. It was warm enough to sit out and read our books for a bit. Mike & Lynn came by, back from their trip to Fort Bliss, so we shot the breeze with them for a while before the cooling night air sent us all back indoors.
Thursday, March 7, Robin was off for another hike.

It was an absolute blur of excitement for me back at the resort, sorting and doing laundry. The day was capped off with another fun and successful dance class. No nearby flailing arms and legs, but surrounded by a few rookies that don't have it figured out yet. Focus is the operative word in those situations. Both Paula and I lost it a couple of times.
Friday was theme day at the resort - Polynesian being this year's theme. The parking lot outside the office was taken over by tables and chairs and canopies, along with a few food trucks. There was a "parade" at 11, followed by a band and dancing in the parking lot until 3. Being that we are about 100' from said parking lot, we heard the whole performance (unfortunately). We thought we'd grab some lunch at the grill, but the patio was packed, with nowhere to sit and eat. We figured we'd get it to go, but as we were standing in line, we heard the woman taking the orders say that there was a 45 minute wait, presumably for food (or maybe it was a particular item on the menu). Regardless, we decided to hike on back to the coach and make our own lunch. Crossed paths with Don & Sylvia on the way back and got talking about hot dogs (there was the World's Best Corn Dog food truck nearby), so invited them over to have a hot dog lunch with us. 25¢ beer again starting at 3, and Jim had managed to get a table in the shade, so we wandered back to the patio and visited there for an hour or two. There was a street dance again at 6 in the parking lot, so we told anyone that wanted, to come and sit in our driveway and we could see and hear just fine from there. There were 8 of us for most of the evening, with others coming and going, and the band, this time, was excellent. Lots of singing along to 50's and 60's songs. The band played until about 9:15 and the dance floor was packed - an undulating wave of humans; Robin figures probably a couple hundred folks. We sat out until about 10, when everyone decided it was time to retire.
Saturday, March 9 was patio sale morning in the park. Robin took a chance with his health and safety and hopped on his bike to tour around about half of the park, but didn't find anything he absolutely had to have. Overcast skies but still warm. Later in the morning, we picked up Ken & Faye and headed out to Perry & Bev's. The ladies took off for a quilt show, and the guys hung out and entertained the dogs. Later we all took off to try and get into Filly's Roadhouse for dinner, but the place was packed and lots of folks waiting. It had been raining, and was still threatening rain, so no one was using the loads of outside tables, but rather all needed to be inside. We decided we didn't want to wait, so headed off to a little hole in the wall that Perry & Bev had discovered - Dog Run Saloon. Said our goodbyes to Perry & Bev as they are on their way home next weekend. Took Ken & Faye back home and visited there for a bit before heading back to our own rig. Another enjoyable evening with friends.
More rain overnight and this morning, and a bit more predicted for this morning and later today, but still temperatures in the 70's. We'll see what the coming week brings. The nice thing about the rain is that encourages the cactus to bloom and the brown grass everywhere turns green.
Until next time, dear readers.
