Thanks to modern technology, an inverter, and hot spotting with a generous data plan from my cell phone carrier, I was able to catch up today while on the move.
April 8 took us to Ogden, Utah. A place to stay for the night, but nothing to keep us there.
Monday, April 9, we drove as far as Caldwell, Idaho (near Boise). Met some folks from West Kelowna and had a nice visit after dinner, until the setting sun and night chill sent us scurrying back to our RV's. We had tentatively planned to travel from here to Skamokawa, WA (on the Columbia River, near where it empties into the Pacific Ocean) to visit with friends from Mesa who are visiting there (live elsewhere in WA), but when we looked at the forecast, it was nothing but rain. Regrettably, we decided to pass and will hopefully catch up with them over the summer, or in Mesa next winter for sure.
Our travels today, April 10 bring us to Prosser, WA. - back in our regular time zone and one longish day's drive from home. Prosser happens to be the home of the 14 Hands Winery, along with about 35 other wineries and a couple of breweries. We think it would be best to be the good tourists and spend an extra night, so we can visit some of these fine establishments. We checked out the breweries once we got settled. Robin could hear the call and was getting antsy, so I loaded him in the car and took him for beers.
Until next time, dear readers.
